This short and fun video explains what a carbon footprint is and how you can reduce yours to minimise your impact on the planet. Share to help educate everyone on how to lessen impacts of climate change and pollution.

This video was made as a master’s project with the African Climate and Development Initiative. The ACDI has been established at UCT to facilitate, stimulate and coordinate partnerships and knowledge across disciplines on climate and development issues. With a strong African and Global South perspective, the ACDI’s work is focused on research, teaching at post-graduate level, public awareness and close interaction with policy makers, business and civil society. Its interdisciplinary focus provides a multi-layered perspective on climate change and development, bringing both interdisciplinary breadth and specialist depth to problems and solutions. #ACDI #Climatechange #UCT #Carbonfootprint #makeadifference #Africa

Imagine that aliens landed and gifted us a clean, limitless energy source. And instead of killing each other over this technology, we decided to immediately transform the world into a carbon-free society. This wonderous source would power our homes, industries, cars and planes, and humanity’s annual rate of carbon pollution would almost instantly fall to zero. So if we kicked our carbon addiction tomorrow, what would that mean for global warming?
