In this project I will show you how to create a solar tracker which like the name implies can follow the movement of the sun throughout the day. And at the end I will show you the energy harvest difference between a solar tracker mounted solar panel and a flat mounted solar panel.

  1. Where did you get the enlarger bit you used? I have a similar one, but it is much smaller. I love this type of bit. It works so well for gradually enlarging holes, especially asymmetric/damaged original openings. Perhaps in addition to a parts list for your projects, you could provide a tools list as well.

  2. if it is on all the time it consumes energy, you could make it turn on only for 5 seconds every 20 minutes, so it aligns with the sun, but without consuming so much energy.

  3. a thought if you are going to do something similar to the 100w panel you have id like to see 2 versions 1 where it sits at an angle and rotates on 1 axis to catch the light and the second have it a 2 axis the same as the this set up also tracking the power consumption for both and input / output power
