  1. I’ve seen a fair few comments about going vegan or vegetarian and as a vegan I’d like to say that cutting down on dairy/meat is good too! Have a diet that suits you, or you won’t stick to it. You know your body and your mind and what is reasonable to you. I’d much rather someone ate meat and diary and didn’t have disordered eating if they were guilting themselves around food. Find some vegan/veggie recipes that you love! Be kind to yourself and then changing you diet, if you wish to do so, vegan/vegetarian is great for the planet! Take it at your own pace xoxo

  2. love all these tips! if anyone is thinking to change to a menstrual cup then just be aware that (according to a recent survey) there is still the risk of tss, so you’re advised to buy two to clean between uses:) xx

  3. Great video! The tips are so easy and it made me really happy when I realised that I already practise almost every one of them on a daily basis 🙂 Every little step in the right direction is important! We should do all of these and more … Our planet deserves it!

  4. I think it's worth mentioning one downside with the menstrual cup… It's not recommended using a menstrual cup while having an IUD, because it creates a vacuum that could move the IUD out of place… But washable menstrual pads are a great alternative in this situation 🙂
I loved using my menstrual cup before I got the IUD!

  5. this is an awesome vid for people just getting started or into this idea. Awesome that you're inspiring people just to make small changes cos it gets people thinking and every little helps. I've got a reusable plastic water bottle but I was thinking I should have bought a metal one because even though I'm reusing it, it will still end up in a landfill and never break down :/

  6. I agree with most of this but I have serious issues with paperless bill paying. Without a paper trail and electronics being sometimes unreliable its safer to use paper. I was in FL and I was appalled that people tried to walk out on their bill because the power went out and they didn't trust a manual card swipe and some employees were too young to remember, how to use a manual card swipe. Computers aren't a sure thing plan for back up.

  7. Great tips, I also truly believe that we have the power to change our ways! I myself struggle to do better every day, even though I intend to. Therefore I created an assistant that proactively shows me what I can do in the right moment and time so i can truly form lasting eco-habits, e.g. showing me what produce is in season once I enter the grocery store, helps me remember to bring a reusable shopping bag before I leave my home, etc.

We are currently in beta mode and would really be happy to have some likeminded testers that can help us build an amazing product that will empower anyone to live eco-friendly!

  8. I'd have to disagree with you on the paper towel thing. A hand dryer is just blowing hot germy air back onto your hands. Paper will biodegrade as well, so it's not as bad as other stuff. Otherwise this video is great! 🙂

  9. If ur into organic natural stuff then buy a Buddha brush it's an eco friendly toothbrush it's good for u and it grows back in the earth once ur done using it don't use plastic use a Buddha brush go to http://www.buddhabrush.com or on Facebook go to the Buddha brush page comment if ur interested and it's 100%biodegradable 0% plastic the bristles are natural and it's bamboo

  10. Nice video! Problem with most reusable bags though is that those cheap ones fall apart when washed and will end up in a landfill since virtually no recycling centers will take them; check out CRESBI collapsible crates for groceries!

  11. None of the things you mention will save the environment as much as going vegan will. Animal agriculture is responsible for 51% of worldwide greenhouse gas emissions, and livestock is responsible for 65% of all human-related emissions of nitrous oxide – a greenhouse gas with 296 times the global warming potential of carbon dioxide.
If you care about the environment and want to minimise water and land use and the use of other resources, just go vegan. It's literally the best thing in the world.

  12. Great tips. I'm being consistent about bringing my bag into stores, but you have to be careful, sometimes I don't have time to say "I don't need a bag" before they put your stuff in a plastic one!!

  13. Nice video, you have explained the basics and there is a lot more also simple things people could do on daily basis, I am doing the same on my channel, but also in my life I am trying to encourage friends around me to do the same and guess what, it's working! 🙂 thumbs up for the video, you got a new follower. Cheers.

  14. I love everything about this video. I definitely want to consider taking a recycling bin to work. I always see my coworker throwing away water bottles and it makes me cringe inside. Also this last period I had I started unexpectedly at work and didn't have my diva cup with me. I had to use tampons and once I switched back to my cup it was like night and day. The cup is sooo much more comfortable for me personally. I'd recommend it to anyone who is considering trying it!

  15. Thank you for sharing these tips!! I've been using reusable water bottles and cups for a quite a while, but I definitely need to start picking up some of these other habits. Happy Earth Day 🙂

  16. I have a kindle paperwhite and it is honestly just like a real book! The screen even feels like paper and it is much easier for on the go and the charge lasts weeks. Thanks for these tips! I already do most of them but I think it's important for people to know 🙂
